Harvest Christian Assembly




History of Glad Tidings Assembly of God: The founding pastor was Rev. Randy Wilson. The church began in the Howland Grange Hall located at 8273 High Street, Warren, Ohio. Special services were held on July 27, 28, 29 at 7pm; and the first Sunday service was held July 30th, 1989. Glad Tidings moved to 8798 E. Market Street in the spring of 1992 under the leadership of Pastor Wilson. Pastor Wilson's last service was August 29, 1993. 

Missionary Raymond Zens (and others) served as interim pastors until the Rev. Randy Phillips became the pastor in February of 1994. Pastor Phillips last service was July 16, 1995.

Rev. Daniel Tayman became the pastor of Glad Tidings on November 5th, 1995. Pastor Tayman's last service was January 21, 2001.


History of Harvest Christian Assembly Of God: The founding pastor was Rev. Nicholas Sbano. The Church began in a storefront located at 202 W. Main Street in Cortland, OH. The first scheduled service was held on Easter Sunday 1991. Pastor Sbano's last service was in June of 1993. Rev. David Helton served as interim pastor for 6 months when Rev. Ron Biehl became the pastor in December of 1993.

In the fall of 1997 the church relocated to Cortland Elementary School and was renamed Harvest Christian Assembly of God.

In April of 2001 under the leadership of Pastor Biehl, the Advisory Council and the Section Leadership Team the congregations of Glad Tidings and Harvest Christian merged and became Harvest Christian Assembly of God at the present location.

In June of 2016 Harvest Christian gainde General Council Status and was oficially recognized as an independant Assembly of God Community.
